Swedish Massage

This is the manipulation of the muscles based on the swedish system and is used to either soothe or stimulate the body. Massage is excellent for the body and helps the body to function more efficiently by increasing circulation of the blood and lymphatic systems within the body. This helps oxygen and nutrients to reach their destinations within the body quicker. Massage also assists cell renewal which slows down as the body ages.

Cancer Care Massage

Massage for Cancer Care-is a gentle form of massage to help the client relax. It also helps to support the client during and after their treatment. Touch therapy can also be used during these treatments. It has been found to be soporific.

This type of massage helps to improve quality of life through relaxation. It may also assist the client to sleep better. It is possible to refresh the body so that the body is not feeling so tired. It may be possible to assist the client with some of the symptoms of chemotherapy (e.g. nausea) or post radiotherapy. This type of treatment also helps with self esteem during this sensitive period of the clients life. A combination of carrier oils can be used for the this type of massage. The oils I use are classified as medically therapeutic.
